A friend of mine recently sent me a link to the site Qpid Me, which provides a platform for sharing STD test results online or via e-mail or text message. The company has your doctor send in your testing results, and then it creates an online profile where those results are private but easily shareable at need. Qpid me is free, and it allows users to share the results of the following tests:
- HIV
- Gonorrhea
- Chlamydia
- Syphilis
- Hepatitis C
- HPV vaccination status
- Hepatitis A vaccination status
Although I have my usual reservations about such sites - they don't tell you what a person has done since their last test, or if they were tested at an appropriate time in their life - I do like that this site isn't a testing farm. Instead, it encourages people to go to their own doctors to get tested and then use the site as a data repository.
That said, I'm not endorsing the site. I haven't done enough research to do so, although I don't see many obvious problems other than the fact that the site will not report herpes test results because of concerns about reliability issues that are potentially legitimate but not described accurately in the FAQ.

I have been using qpid.me for the past year and absolutely love it. It is the easiest way for me to have healthy dialogue with partner(s). I tell everyone I know about this site <3
qpid.me contains the kind of information we want to be able to share, and provides the unbiased 3rd party to backup what people tell you. how nice to be able to say “here’s a weblink, you can verify for yourself”. outrageous concerns about privacy are unfounded. If you ask them to, they will request STD lab results from your physician. Nothing else. And then people can take that information, and base their decisions on what they have verified.
