Urethritis

Definition: Infection and inflammation of the urethra, the tube lining the penis that carries urine and sperm. The urethra is the primary site of infection for gonorrhea, chlamydia, and several other bacterial STDs. Urethritis is usually diagnosed by visual examination and swab.
