Question: How Do I Get Treated for Molluscum Contagiosum?
Answer: Molluscum contagiosum should only be treated by a health care professional. Some treatments advocated on the Internet may actually cause more harm than good. At your doctor's office, the bumps can be frozen off, punctured and cleaned out (curettage), removed with a lasers, or treated with creams, but in most cases they will heal on their own in 6 to 12 months if left untreated.
