Oral Sex
- i have only been with two girls, but i havent practiced safe oral sex with either of them. have u ever smelled a condom, imagine how it tastes. my fiance wouldnt use one even if i asked her. being in a monogomous relationship really helps quell the STD fears especially since we both have been tested.

Online Testing
- I get tested annually and have found that online testing is the most convenient and affordable way to get tested.

If only I'd known
- I consider myself quite a well-informed and sensible person, not taking risks with my health, but I'm annoyed I didn't practice safe sex when I went down on a woman recently. I didn't even know about that. Now I'm worried I've got an infection (...so visiting about.com). How come its normal to use a condom when you have sex with a man you don't know that well, but oral sex on a woman seems like a different category? They never told us anything about this at school. "Always use a condom" is such a big slogan but who talks about 'dental dams'? (and you 'make your own') Is it weird asking a woman to cut up a condom with you, or have cling film on her when you're just about to have sex? Don't people find it strange? This is so unfamilar to me, its scary, & its easy to think better to avoid that situation cos you don't know what reaction you'll get.

safer sex.
- Dating with herpes can be stressful. It may be more difficult to find new partners. But when you are open and honest about your infection status, there will continue to be people who want you enough to take the risk. There are also dating services specifically for individuals who have been diagnosed with herpes and other STDs. Remember, one in five adults is infected with the herpes virus. Herpes dating, and finding someone to love, may not be nearly as difficult as you think. However, even if you have both been diagnosed with genital herpes, it is still wise to practice safer sex.

I think it's important...
- I think that practicing safe oral sex is really important when people have relationships with multiple partners or they are not reliable about getting tested.
