The Verdict :

Polyurethane condoms were the first good alternative to latex condoms for the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases. They have been widely used by people with latex allergies, and polyurethane is also the material used in the original female condom. Polyurethane condoms are looser and less elastic than latex condoms. Because of this, they may be slightly more likely to slip off and/or break; therefore, they are not usually recommended for use by people who do not suffer from latex allergy.
